DOORKEEPERS IN THE HOUSE OF GOD
GLC ushers serve as doorkeepers in the House of God. We support the vision of our Pastor as our Pastor follows Jesus. We assist to create and maintain an atmosphere where worshipers can focus their undivided attention on the Lord throughout the service. Ushers maintain and demonstrate a disposition of servitude, love and reverence for our God and our house of worship.
As the first point of contact upon entering our church, it is our joy and mission to help set the tone in preparation for worship service. We ensure the sanctuary is prepared before the start of service. Visitors and members are warmly greeted with love and smiles and are escorted to their seats. GLC ushers are attentive and alert as we see to the needs of the congregation and maintain order throughout the service. Our duties also extend to clean-up of the Sanctuary after service.
